arhamsilver.com is operated by Arham Jewellers, 386, 1st C Road, Sardarpura, Jodhpur, Rajasthan 342001, India. This notice explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have. It follows the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This website is meant for adults aged 18 and above.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, phone number, e-mail address, billing and delivery addresses, and gift-message details if you add them.
  • When you create an account: your name, e-mail address and a password, which we store only in encrypted form. Your order history and wishlist are kept with it.
  • When you contact us: what you send by e-mail, the contact form or WhatsApp, including any photographs or videos for a damage claim.
  • Payments: the payment status and transaction reference from Razorpay or PhonePe. We never receive or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or net-banking passwords.
  • Technical data: cookies that keep your cart and login working, and basic device, browser and IP information that our hosting needs to run and protect the website.

Why we use it

  • To take, pack, ship and support your orders, and to issue invoices.
  • To handle cancellations, damage claims and refunds, and to answer your questions.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting duties, and to prevent fraud and misuse of the website.
  • To send you news of new pieces, only if you have asked us to. You can stop this at any time.

We use only what is needed for each purpose, and we do not use your data for anything you would not reasonably expect.

Who we share it with

  • Payment partners: Razorpay and PhonePe, to process your payment on their secure pages.
  • Delivery partners: Shiprocket and its courier partners receive your name, phone and delivery address to deliver your order.
  • Service providers: our website host and e-mail provider, who store and send data for us under contract.
  • Authorities: when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for others’ advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally eight years).
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it. After that we keep only what the law requires.
  • Messages and claim photographs: for as long as needed to resolve the matter, then deleted.

How we protect it

The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and passwords are stored only in encrypted form. Payments are handled entirely by PCI-DSS-compliant gateways. No method is perfectly secure, but we follow reasonable security practices and will tell you, and the authorities where required, if a breach affects your data.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the shop needs to work: your cart, your login, security, and a list of the pieces you recently viewed so you can find them again. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.

Your rights

  • See the personal data we hold about you, and how we use it.
  • Have it corrected, completed or updated.
  • Have it erased when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw any consent you gave (for example, to marketing messages) as easily as you gave it.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
  • Have a grievance about your data addressed by us. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, write to care@arhamsilver.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.
